Beak fungus
When Christin Meuesemann first saw this female budgie the bird has just been saved from its former home which was dirty and where the former owner didn't take good care of the bird. Christin took Maja to her place, because a beak fungus was torturing the bird and only an immediate treatment could save the beak from being destroyed. At first the beak was cut by an avian vet. In the future it will have to be cut from time to time because it doesn't grow straight. Also parts of the cere have been destroyed by the fungus.
