Japanese millet One of the most appreciated sorts of grains of budgies is Japanese millet. Due to its slightly triangle-like shape it reminds of tiny buckwheat seeds. Japanese millet is soft and can easily be opened by the birds what makes them that desired. Unfortunately, this sort of millet is expensive. One kg costs about two to three Euro.
