Among bakery products, there are some that most budgies enjoy. They love to nibble rusk and crispbread. They will also enjoy fresh and dried rolls. Of course one should give them bakery products in moderation! Especially while budgies are breeding, it is not a good idea to feed the birds on bakery products. The parent budgies eat lots of bakery products that quickly fill their crops. Afterwards, they give it to their chicks who are always hungry. It's easy for the parents to gorge their youngsters on bakery products, the chicks' crops will soon be full. But bread and other bakery products do not contain enough minerals and vitamins, so deficiency symptoms will be the result of feeding too much bakery products. Many chicks die from this!
