In the beginning of 2005 things went very fast for my statistics on budgie names. Shortly after the last anniversary Julian and Vanessa Maltan from Germany sent me the name of the 11000th budgie who is called Nicki. He (blue-white bird) and his friend Fips (green-yellow) were approximately six weeks old when they moved into their new home in August 2004. "Nicki is quieter than his friend and he doesn't leave the cage as fast as Fips. He needs his friend and is a cautious bird. On the other hand he can also become very loud, assert himself and he always fights against being brought to his knees when his friend tries to do so. We hope that our two budgies will continue to bring us so much joy in the future."
