On 05/20/2009 C. Unkelbach, a German budgie owner, entered the names of her birds into my stats. Among these names was one of an anniversary budgie. This very special bird is called Lio which is the 11000th name. His proud owner wanted to share some information on Lio with us:

"Here are some photos of him, I have takem them yesterda. Two pics show some of my other birds as well - his friend Curry (the yellow bird) and his "girl" Ivy (Opaline in light blue). Ivy's former owner kept him solitary and I got the bird because of the help of some relatives. Lio and Ivy lead a harmonic relationship, there is no squabbling. My little friend is 14 months old, an adult bird. But despite this, he still has the charme of a little baby budgie. He is quite shy - he doesn't eat any food from my hand for example. And he is the first one to fly away each time I clean up the cage. But I really love my little Lio. :)"
