On 08/07/2006 the German budgie owner Frank Müller entered the names of his two budgies into my stats, one of them is an anniversary bird. He is called Timmi. Learn more about this very special bird:

"Timmi (budgie on the right) came to our place in May 2003 when he was still very young. Then a few weeks later he got to know the beautiful budgie lady Tasso. Timmi is always the first to try something new, for example titbits an unknown place where a budgie can sit down. And often he stays outside the cage on his favourite perch, just chirping a bit while Tasso already went into the aviary and is nearly asleep.

About one year ago Timmi felt very bad, he vomited and became very thin. It took four vets to find out what was wrong with him: Timmi suffered from an infection with megabacteria. This kind of illness which is caused by an avian gastric yeast will most probably never heal completely, but with the medicine and a special diet Timmi's health status improved. Since then he only feels a bit uncomfortable from time to time and soon recovers from these acute attacs of the disease. Whe hope that he will stay this healthy for a long time!"
