Anniversary birds: 19500th budgie

ArabellaOn 12/26/2006 Lubica and Marco from Germany entered the names of their birds into the stats, among them the name of the 19500th budgie: Arabella. They were both very proud of their little feathered friend when they heard he is an anniversary bird. In fact they were puzzled about Arabella's gender for a long time and even their vet wasn't sure about it. But they like their bird anyway:

"In Ocotber 2004 a tiny budgie was seen in a small forest on the estate of a company and the bird was running around there. The bird was in danger because besides cats and foxes there are also owls and buzzards living in this forest. Therefore we knew for sure that we had to do something. Whitout any big hue and crying the bird let us catch him and a few days later we introduced him to our budgie family as Arabella. The three other budgies immediately accepted him and since then he delights us with his perky and lively behaviour. Regrettably Arabella is more or less shy, but as soon as we offer him some treats he brings himself to jump onto our hands."
