From Switzerland I received an e-mail on 04/13/04 and it contained a few new budgie names. One of those names was the 4500th name that was entered into my stats. This anniversary bird is called Stöpseli and he is owned by Monika Kohler. He lived at the home of an older couple until he was seven. When his partner died after turning ten, the old couple didn't want to buy a new feathered friend for him. They asked Monika to take him to her place and let him move into her aviary. She couldn't say no and a few days after he had moved in, he fell in love with an about seven years old female budgie. When his name was entered into the stats, Stöpseli and his love were very busy with breeding.
