Congratulations to Austria! On 12/30/02, Uwe Saxert sent the names of his budgies to my stats. One of them was Zwergi, the name of this anniversary-bird. Her owner was very proud and was happy he could introduce her here in his own words:

"After a long time Zwergi finally found a friend who stays close to her all of the time. He is her personal guardian and one can easily see how comfortable she feels when he is around. Regrettably last year two adipose tumours began to grow on her breast. Therefore she is not able to fly very well any more. But despite this she is a lively budgie lady."
