If you are out for a walk next time, don't forget to bring some freshly
picked shepherd's purse (Capsella
bursa-pastoris) for your keets. The half-ripe seed vessels are a
delicacy for many pet bird species. Sheperd's purse is flowering from
March to October and the plants reach a height of about 20 to 40 cm.
