All kinds of parrots and of course budgies love to nibble fresh
corn (Zea mays) that is half-ripe,
milky and still soft. One can get half-ripe corn between July and
October. Bigger birds like grey parrots or amazons also love to eat
ripe corn that can be found in common bird seed mixtures.
